Oxycodone addiction. Currently going on three years of being sober. I'm proud of myself. It was hell getting off of it, especially going cold turkey and using it since grade 6 or 7. My mom knew about it too, but my dad had no clue.

Grammar Nazism warning: a comma would have been incorrect there, as "I can't choose" is an independent clause. Independent clauses cannot be separated by commas; these form comma splices, which are considered errors in English. A full stop wouldn't have been, but it would have made the post in general sound choppy by having three short, related sentences all completely separated from one another.
