"Wage slaves" in the US make much more than white collar professionals in the rest of the world. People will whine, bitch, and groan no matter how good things get.

Sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes, easy access to shops within walking distance of homes - pretty much everything Euros in cities take for granted

I'd rather have a 15 minute car ride than a 5 minute elevator ride plus 10 minutes walking around exposed to the elements only to be stabbed in the grocery store because shticks were banned

Not everyone can walk the same distance. Some people are even home bound. So basically you're talking about using an app to order groceries. Which means that by your own standard all American cities are walkable.
