A lot of people are sick and tired of the establishment career politicians who have overseen America's decline over the last 40 years. A populist rabble-rouser who deals in grievance politics (i.e Trump) is attractive to them.

Plus, there are actually a lot of hard-working, church-going (yes, it matters to my point), tax-paying "deplorable" conservatives who are tired of being told that they are what is wrong with America. I'm not saying Trump is the solution, but infinitely divisive identity politics is one of the problems that creates both a Trump and the vacuum he fills. Trump didn't create this wave, he's just riding it.

I'm being sarcastic. But that's why people liked him in the first place, he fired people on tv, has a big tower, and is a "good" businessman.

But they are what's wrong with America because of their attitudes, hatred of others, and policies that harm the poor.

That's a tiny percentage of Trump voters. The same percentage of hateful assholes that exist on the left (ahh, but their hate is JUSTIFIED, right?). Labelling all 80-odd million Trump voters the way you just did is why he'll likely win again in 2024. People are sick of it. Between 6 and 10 million people who voted for Obama in 2016 voted for Trump in 2020. What's your explanation for that? Did they all suddenly become deplorable hateful racists overnight? Or was maybe Obama's patronising 'Change You Can Believe In' spiel exposed as a load of old shite?

I grew up around conservative Christians. I know them. Even ones who seem nice and have good jobs, etc, are usually racists. They despise and fear anyone who is not exactly like them. They vote. That is what makes them deplorable. I am not just talking about the toothless redneck in the trailer park, but the lawyer who votes for Trump and makes sure (secretly of course) that no black people g4et hired in his firm, and people like that. They are deplorable.
