We drove through Utah and it was such a poor and ratty area, it looked like it was out of a movie about the dust bowl
Then we start to see these gleaming white walls from far away. It was a Mormon temple covered in sparkling white marble and gold spires. It towered over the poor city and was honestly a disgusting site

It must have been a super rural area. A lot of those temples are old and shitty and built in the 1800s and are falling apart and constantly under renovation.
There are certain small towns that are full of FLDS who practice plural marriage and make the women wear prairie dress
