You are committing the logical fallacy of whataboutism. What the US did 40 years ago doesn’t make what Russia does right.
Ah, so you only disagree with military coups when it's done against a Western puppet government? Got it. There's a career waiting for you at CNN or the BBC, they're as situationally outraged as you are.

Remember when you cried like a little girl about the mods and swore never to return and wrote up a weepy post about how unfair the mods were right when Russia invaded Ukraine and you swore up and down for months that it wasn’t going to happen? That was funny
"It now seems this movement is spreading across the country.
The businessman, based 800km (500 miles) away in the central city of Zinder, didn't want to give his name for safety reasons and asked that we blur his face.
"I'm pro-Russian and I don't like France," he said. "Since childhood, I've been opposed to France.
"They've exploited all the riches of my country such as uranium, petrol and gold. The poorest Nigeriens are unable to eat three times a day because of France"
I suppose those dumb low-information Africans with decades of experience dealing with both Russia and the West have no idea what they're talking about, do they? Explain to the stupid niggers who the real evil ones are, white man!

But niger was a real democracy, op seems to think it was either a french puppet state (lol) or an american one and then he links to a listicle that doesn't even mention niger
> op seems to think it was either a french puppet state (lol)
I can absolutely guarantee that until a week ago you had no idea where Niger was, much less its history as a French colony, and yet now you're waffling on about its "democracy" as if you're actually informed about the country, its history, its economy, and its purpose as a French military base. It's the modern political disease: people of cosmic ignorance speaking with supreme confidence.

You didnt address my point and just pivoted to calling me a racist lol
Anyway… > "They've exploited all the riches of my country such as uranium, petrol and gold. The poorest Nigeriens are unable to eat three times a day because of France"
Third worlders routinely think all wealth is just dug up from the ground and can’t comprehend that what actually makes countries wealthy is value added activities like manufacturing, organization, logistics, services, etc
You had no point beyond the typical American "the world must make a choice between hegemonies. There is no other possible system".
> and just pivoted to calling me a racist lol
Tell us again how those dumb nigger third worlders don't understand manufacturing...
> Third worlders routinely think all wealth is just dug up from the ground and can’t comprehend that what actually makes countries wealthy is value added activities like manufacturing, organization, logistics, services, etc

Fun fact: up until a few years ago 14 African nations still used the West African Franc as their currency, which was regulated by the Central Bank of France and gave France total control over those countries' economies. Now with all these 'coups'* the number is down to 8 and still falling. And France is very, very pissed about it.
But, yeah, "Ukrainian sovereignty! Freedom to determine your own destiny!" - Macron.
* 'People overthrowing a Western proxy government' = "military coup"
'People overthrowing a non-Western proxy government' = "revolution of freedom!"

When those countries peg their currency to first the Franc then later the Euro it allows France/EU to export the inflationary costs of stimulus programs at home to the citizens of their colonies.
It makes sense they are upset if billions in annual aid from West Africa to Western Europe was shut off by the new leaders.
