Forgive me if this topic has been made before, but something reminded me...
I love 1980's slashers, don't get me wrong. But these kills are so boring, the acting is dull, and the story is lifeless.
Unironically a transgender child's penis is what caused this film to become a cult classic. It wasn't the writing, it wasn't the special effects, it wasn't the brilliant acting; it was a penis.

It was not the penis (the penis actor was 18+, by the way). What made it a classic was that weird, unsettling, uncanny-valley look that Angela gives in the last scene, and that weird demonic roaring.

@previous (B)
Critics don't though, for whatever reason. Sleepaway Camp has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 81%, while The Slumber Party Massacre only has a score of 45%. What could be the reason for this?
