YT has really changed over the last couple of years. When they started the short form videos like tic tok it changed how people started viewing the long form videos there too. If you don't change with it the algorithm won't put your impressions out there and you won't get any views. People now days watching YT videos have short attention spans. If your videos don't get to a point in the first 15 seconds or so people will just click out and go to something else. Which in turn drops your watch time percentage which causes the algorithm to turn it's back on you. You don't need a lot of subscribers to make decent money anymore. Just make interesting videos and know how to keep people's attention for 8 minutes or more.
