How do you feel about black history month? Before any kneejerk reactions, I ask you to simply consider my point. Throughout US history, black people have been enslaved, discriminated against, disenfranchised, and generally kept down institutionally. Thank goodness that is changing, and many black Americans have accomplished great things. But I do not begrudge them one month to examine the successes of their people. I think they deserve at least that, after all of the other. What do you think?
