Rice, salt, peanut butter and vitamins. A person could live off of that. If you're talking cheap, but decent... depends on what kind of foods you like. I spend less than $50 a week on food most of the time, lrn 2 shop. I eat a lot of eggs and soups etc.

My multi of choice and ramen. Tasty, flavored ramen is, like, 10¢ a package.

Give me foods, amounts, costs, and how you use them for the win.

@previous (A) > Foods
Ramen. Lots and lots of ramen. > amounts
By the package. Contains a block of ramen and seasoning packets. > costs
10¢ or so a package. Went up to 16¢ recently at the local store, but I'm sure you can find it in bulk somewhere. > how you use them
Boil water, throw in noodles, wait two minutes, stir in seasoning, eat.

Them too. They sponsor state capitalism under the guise of being a vanguard party for true communism, which is itself flawed too. Non-totalitarian socialism FTW.

Is there any problem which cannot be solved with cannibalism? Overpopulation, famine, babysitting...

Grass-fed beef and center-cut bacon. Organic, of course. That's the cheapest food I personally could live with.

Protip:
Corn and beans together form a complete protein.
My food of choice when I'm strapped is vegetarian enchiladas.
Buy dry corn and beans in bulk.
There's a trick to preparing the beans so they don't give you gas -- just put them in a pot full of water, bring it to a boil, let it sit for 3 hours, and then drain and rinse the beans thoroughly -- yes, this works.
You need:
A casserole
Black, pinto, or adzuki beans
corn (I prefer hominy -- it's hulled and easier to digest)
corn tortillas
shredded cheese
onions
sour cream or unsweetened yogurt
seasonings
oil the casserole, put down a layer of corn tortillas, spread sour cream/yogurt on them, add corn, beans, onions, seasonings (I use green chile, ground red pepper, sea salt, garlic powder, and oregano), and cheese, and repeat until the casserole is filled, and then top generously with cheese.
Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, then broil at 500 for 5-10 minutes (until the cheese on top gets crusty).
Enjoy!
This recipe will cost about 15 dollars and feed you for a week.
