Identity politics is a political approach wherein people of a particular race, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, social background, social class, or other identifying factors develop political agendas that are based upon these identities.
so your political ideology is based on a rejection of these identities? How is an ideology based on these identities different from identity politics just because you hate them and identify with Nobody?
What's your political ideology based on precisely, if you even know. because it seems like it's.... based on exactly the same things. just on the opposite side of the agendas. you feel?

Can't stand the guy. I hate him. I also hate Ron DeSantis and most other Republicans. But at the same time, I'm secretly hoping the Republican nominee wins next year to put an end to this woke nonsense.
@previous (squeegee)
I don't really have a political ideology. I just reject identity politics.

so.... really, you only care about identity politics. specifically, you only care about hating things other people believe in because.... they're "woke" to them. meaning.... they acknowledge that other people's beliefs and opinions have value even if you may not identify with them....??
well, that kinda sounds like what a piece of shit political ideology would be all about. please help me understand where i'm mistaken about my assumptions here, i don't want to misjudge you here, anonymous Anti-librul woke agenda persona.

Woke is bowing down to transgenders, supporting gender-reaffirming care (total bullshit - you don't cater to mental illness, you treat it), idolizing black people, hating innocent white people for no apparent reason, etc.
@previous (squeegee)
Alas, but you have misjudged, and you did so by calling my beliefs "piece of shit political ideology." Sounds about right for a wokie like yourself.

While you are correct that it was first used by African Americans in the 1930s, its modern meaning (post 2010) is quite different. Anon A's definition is accurate.

i mean, you're wrong, but okay, whatever you say i guess. but, Erykah Badu is pretty widely credited with popularizing it the current context.
but, yeah, i guess as a concept it goes back nearly 100 years in black culture. but, it's modern meaning is derived from this, which is widely credited for the modern instantiation. it has broad appeal, so it's no wonder it's used in general to apply to being mindful of the struggles faced by marginalized classes.
but as far as @1,237,982 (A) reply is concerned, this is myopic and drenched in bias.
