Meta is a mod and can know things about who is who, so, that's not unusual. it's unusual to see a mod officially verify people since it appears they generally do try to avoid abusing their powers wantonly. anons always SAY they abuse their powers, but ive been here 13, 14 years and i've only been banned twice, and both times have been in the last couple of months, and both times have been for harassing Tteh. and i doubt it was fake anon or meta. they may not care to disclose mod actions, but i deserved what i got, i don't disagree. but i've never known them to be abusive or stalkers or to attack the users.
But, i'm sure they've had a hard time dealing with the admin who is two faced, and will act like he's on your side and then assault you anonymously and i'm sure they've had to ban a thousand of the admins VPN and TOR ip addresses .
