Yea, what a douche. He has a reputation for being a sleaze. Other women, who will gain nothing, have accused him of sexual assault. I believe the maid. Lying about one thing doesn't necessarily mean you lie about everything. If it was a setup, I think they would have found someone better looking.

Should the accusations against the Duke Lacrosse three be considered in any future legal proceedings? The maid was recorded saying that she wanted money out of it and there was no evidence against Strauss-Kahn. Having consensual sex with a woman should not make a man vulnerable to legal or political recourse, and this scandal should serve the observant as a power check against the justice industry.

I think it's fair that a judge should decide that question based on the strength of the previous allegations. For criminal cases, I tend to think no, but civil cases often do allow this.
Keep in mind that swamplights was implying the alleged victim's past made her seem more guilty, and this was just to point out his past does rather the same thing as well. If you can't consider his past, should it be any different for her?
