Nobody is "born gay." Everybody has a choice in who they're attracted to. The Liberal-Woke agender is a crock of shit THERE'S NO FUCKING FAG GENE!!! Any teacher who says otherwise should be locked up in a prison full of bull queers and fucked in the ass at least nine time a day!!!

I remember that whole thing from the early 00s.
Now the side that's saying it isn't a choice is the one that's aggressively opposed to the idea that endocrine disrupters, whether it be microplastics, birth control, or other environmental contaminants or mutagens, could affect one's gender identity.
So it's not a choice but it also isn't due to the environment, epigenetics, or genetics. Not sure where that leaves us and I'm not sure they know either.
Of course, the other "side" has to contend with the opposite discrepancy. It's only not a choice when it's convenient for us. But that's not really my point here.

@previous (D)
why is it convenient for you? is your point that you care too much? are you having gender identity issues due to "mutagens" and birth control?
So invested.
In your theory how are all these things relative to each other?

It's not convenient for me. I was being facetious when I said that. I had figured that'd be obvious and wouldn't need clarifying, but I guess I was wrong.
I don't care all that much. I'm more interested in how people respond and think about the topic than the topic itself.
> In your theory how are all these things relative to each other?
Which things?

I don't know. It seems that you were the one that went up in arms asking me to clarify what was clearly an ironic tongue-in-cheek comment.

And what's the problem with that? The workings of the mind and even more so the workings of many minds, aka society, are always going to be more interesting than the meme moral panic (and the meme moral counter-reaction) of the day. Be it trans issues, gay rights, terrorism, drugs, Nazis, commies, Jews, whatever.
