Hey mate, let me tell you about this crazy night I had at the Tuol Sleng museum. So, I was in Phnom Penh and had some free time, and I thought checking out this former Khmer Rouge prison would be interesting.
When I got to the museum, it was late and super hot - the humidity was killer. But man, as soon as I stepped inside, I felt like something was off. The place just oozed sadness and despair.
All the walls were tagged with graffiti, and even the floors had marks from blood. As I walked around, I swear I could feel the ghosts of the prisoners who were tortured and killed there. It was like they were whispering their stories to me.
I learned a lot about the Khmer Rouge and the crazy stuff they did to their people. It was hard to stomach, to be honest. I visit Thailand often to go to bars, but this was totally different. I couldn't believe humans could do that to each other.
The longer I was there, the sadder and more respectful I felt. Sad for the people who died and respect for the ones who survived. I want to make sure I never forget what happened there and that I honor those who passed away.
