I think I'm ready. An earthquake and a hurricane in one week is too much for me. I'm taking a week vacation starting Monday.

The massive amount of rain is not as big a problem as 100 mile per hour winds, and shit flying everywhere, and the 7-11 being closed with no power. Where do you live?

It's true though. The worst we've had is mild flooding of some basements in the SE, droughts in the NE, and tornadoes in the north. I live in the SW. :3

I don't think any of the floods here will be life-threatening, just property-threatening, but there will definitely be floods, I just don't know to what extent. Floods are normally not a big problem in DE, but then again, neither are category 3 hurricanes and I'm not sure what's going to happen. I'm worried because I live right by the Chesapeake Bay and C&D Canal, and there are also 3 flood retention ponds around my house. The house is 60-70 feet above sea level but those ponds are not designed for category 3 hurricanes, especially if the Bay starts backing up into them. I'm worried my basement will flood.

They shut down most of the bridges in Delaware, so I couldn't go to work. It's not too bad, but I guess there's nothing to do now but drink and wait it out.
