Severely mentally-ill and thus taken advantage of by his fans. I respect his hatred of authority, but he needed treatment, poor guy. He also had an abusive childhood.

What did they encourage him to do? I read he was saying he was going to kill himself on stage. Were people encouraging him to do it? Anything else? At the least, it does seem like an interesting way to die. Really going out for the cause.
It got me thinking: how would you like to be remembered after you die? Here at minichan, I mean.
Kind of a weird thing, chatting on an internet forum. Sometimes people just disappear after years and years of being part of a community. And most of the time, people never figure out what happened. Did the person move on? Did they drop dead? Something about it just seems unnatural. The lack of closure, that is.

By supporting his career and encouraging him, they basically supported his untreated mental illness. Someone needed to intervene. The poor guy suffered terribly in his short life.

Yeah, I can see that in a way. Although I wonder if he really would've been capable of much else.
Kind of reminds me of how some people are hesitant to give homeless people money, because it could be used to further their addiction. I can see both sides, but I tend to think even if it does, they still may be slightly better for it since no one is forcing them to continue in their addiction. That's a decision they have to make every time they continue to keep on using.
What about my other question: how would you like to be remembered after you die? Here at minichan, I mean.

@previous (B) > Also, as an artist, no memory will be accurate anyway
What do you mean by this? And what type of artist are you?
> What about you?
I'd rather not be remembered. But I take your point that it doesn't matter since I (or you) will be dead. I suppose there's a chance as seemingly remote as it may be that there is an afterlife and somehow it WILL matter.
