While this may at first appear a tragic event, I'm reliably informed that it's necessary to the security of a free state. May cooler heads prevail.

Communists say that solar power must be mandatory, Nazis say that solar power must be banned, and Libertarians say that solar power should be optional, but what you think doesn't matter because the elites have already decided for you.

It obviously isn't necessary and is likely completely unrelated to maintaining a free society.

But what's also unrelated is the association between gun ownership and homicide rates, with Switzerland being the big exception everyone tries to brush aside.
Another fact that many seem to ignore is that the vast majority of homicides are single killings. School shootings are and likely will remain an anomaly even if nothing is done whatsoever. You're more likely to die in a classic-style terrorist attack like 9/11 - in the US - than die in a school shooting, even if you somehow attended high school as a student every day of your entire life for multiple lifetimes.

The problem is a cultural one, not a legal one, nothing, more nothing less. The more people glamorize it and scream about banning the problem away, the longer it will remain and the more sociopaths will try to memorialize themselves because we're doing half the work for them.

Gas attacks, arson, pipe bombs, propane tank explosions, car rammings, knife attacks, crossbows, poisoning, the list goes on. It's seriously unbelievable to me these methods are so rarely used, but in many cases just as likely, if not more likely, to kill large groups. It's not that they are difficult to do. It's not that we "banned" them. We just didn't make the mistake of giving them 30+ years of constant media attention in the off cases when they did happen.

4 people dead in backwoods community in the US. Front page headline news on BBC world news. Talk about perspective.

The Soviet Union failed.

Liberty doesn't mean freedom from hunger and insults.

Liberty means the absence of government.

If you give the government the power to provide Obamacare and arrest people for hate speech then you are giving power to the state to tax you and take away free speech.

There is no free lunch.

Use personal responsibility and the voluntary free market to solve problems.

The government is force.

Those who praise tyranny are mentally ill.

This but unironically.

The police state in the US would enslave teenagers if they didn't think people would shoot back.

Making tyranny costly is actually protecting kids.

Does anyone get the feeling that the Uniparty has been bought off by the elites?
