EXT. VOYAGER - SPACE

The USS Voyager glides through space.

INT. NEELIX’S KITCHEN

Neelix sits at the table, rolling up a cigarette. Tuvok enters and smells the smoke.

TUVOK:
Neelix, is that tobacco?

NEELIX:
(smiling) Yes, Tuvok. I found a way to replicate it.

Tuvok raises an eyebrow.

TUVOK:
I must remind you, Talaxians are highly sensitive to tobacco. It could have deadly effects on your physiology.

NEELIX:
(dismissive) Oh, I know the risks. But I like the way it makes me feel. And I’m careful not to expose anyone else.

Tuvok nods and exits.

INT. VOYAGER CORRIDOR

Tuvok walks down the corridor and runs into Janeway.

JANEWAY:
What’s on your mind, Tuvok?

TUVOK:
It appears that Neelix has developed an addiction to tobacco.

JANEWAY:
(surprised) Neelix? I didn’t know he was a smoker.

TUVOK:
He recently discovered a way to replicate tobacco on the ship. I have warned him of the dangers, but he seems undeterred.

JANEWAY:
We need to get him to stop. The last thing we need is to lose one of our own to an addiction.

Tuvok nods in agreement.

INT. NEELIX’S KITCHEN

Neelix is smoking another cigarette when he starts to feel lightheaded. He tries to get up, but collapses onto the floor.

INT. VOYAGER SICKBAY

The Doctor is tending to Neelix, who is in critical condition.

DOCTOR:
(to Janeway) I’m afraid Neelix has suffered from nicotine poisoning. If we don’t treat him soon, he may not make it.

JANEWAY:
Do whatever it takes, Doctor. We can’t lose him.

The Doctor works frantically to save Neelix, who slowly begins to recover.

INT. NEELIX’S QUARTERS

Tuvok enters Neelix’s quarters and sees him staring at his empty cigarette case.

TUVOK:
Neelix, I know it’s hard to quit, but you have to stop smoking. It’s endangering your life.

NEELIX:
(defeated) I know, Tuvok. I just can’t seem to help myself.

TUVOK:
Perhaps I can assist you. I have experience in meditation and relaxation techniques that may help you overcome your addiction.

NEELIX:
(grateful) Thank you, Tuvok. I appreciate your help.

Tuvok and Neelix begin to meditate together.

INT. VOYAGER CORRIDOR

Janeway approaches Tuvok.

JANEWAY:
How’s Neelix doing?

TUVOK:
He’s making progress. We have been meditating together, and I believe it has been helpful in overcoming his addiction.

JANEWAY:
That’s good news. We can’t afford to lose anyone to addiction.

TUVOK:
Agreed, Captain.

FADE OUT.

Write an episode of voyager as if it's a PSA about the dangers of smoking in the style of 90s after school local television station broadcasting?

Seriously.

I had a hard time making it generate a DnD style campaign in the theme of boring corporate office work where most of the game is just players filling out paperwork. It was going to be great. There was all this stuff you could potentially be doing but, no, first I need you to watch this 2 minute safety training video and circle answers on a multiple choice survey about what color vest someone was wearing.
Oh, and there were actually online jigsaw puzzles of desks covered with stacks of paper that "simulated" being trained on janitorial services as part of the inner departmental mentorship program.

And tax forms to get paychecks issued. And the gun store and liquor stores all closed before the office did. Those security doors were more about keeping people IN than out.

But no, you couldn't just sit through one dang series of HR onboarding employment questionaires. The data entry was going to online literal spreadsheet data entry. I thought you'd make it at least to the user verification and secure password part.
