She just moved her TV into the room next to the one I'm staying in, on the wall separating the two rooms. She watches it on full blast despite not being that hard of hearing. I now have to listen to whatever trash sitcoms or soap operas she watches all day as though I were right in front of the TV. Kill me now.

That's a good idea, I probably should. I've always avoided them because I found they altered the sound in a very unpleasant way, but maybe the technology has gotten better in the ~5 years since I last had a pair. Either way it would make this more bearable. I'll look for some online.

Yeah. He was coming on a bit too strong to one of his co-workers. Something about him continually asking one of the girls that worked there to come back to his place to see his "gun collection". A lot of us were telling him to lay off that shit, but he didn't listen. It was a pretty weird time.

I've fallen on hard times and she's doing me a solid letting me stay with her until I save up enough to move out. I would never complain about any of this to her face because she deserves to do what she wants in her own home and I'm a guest. So I have to get it out here lol

We've had some really nice weather the last couple days and I would love to get to have a relaxing day at home with the windows open, enjoying a nice breeze blowing in through the window. But my mom complains about being cold if it's below 80 degrees out, so I can't have any windows open. I'm sure by the time summer rolls around, she will switch to saying it's too hot out to have the windows open.

I had a date with a nice lady last night and starting around 9pm she started texting and calling me asking if I was alright. She says because I normally don't stay out late when I have to work in the morning, which is true. But why the fuck can a 30 year old man not go on a date without his mommy freaking out when he stays out late? It's so frustrating. I'm pinching every penny I can to get the fuck out of here.

Y'know I'm always negative in this thread but it isn't all bad. I came home from work and she's making fried chicken, mashed taters and green beans and I'm fuckin stoked

I finally did this and I feel so god damned stupid for not doing it sooner. This is AMAZING. Active noise canceling has definitely come a very long way since I last used it. It isn't perfect but it cuts out like 80% of the noise. I've been wearing them without even playing anything just to enjoy the relative silence.
