Topic: one electron universe theory

squeegee started this discussion 2 years ago #110,197

it's probably my favorite idea in physics.

๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿ”ฌ๐ŸŒŒ The ๐Ÿ˜ฎ one-electron ๐Ÿ’ซ universe theory ๐ŸŒŸ proposes ๐Ÿค” that the entire ๐ŸŒŽ universe ๐ŸŒŒ is made up of ๐Ÿ†’ just one electron โš›๏ธ that moves back and forth ๐Ÿ”„ in time ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ and space ๐Ÿš€. The electron ๐Ÿ’ฅ travels so fast that it seems to be in multiple places at once ๐Ÿคฏ and creates an infinite number of parallel universes ๐Ÿช. the thing is, positrons actually exist. and they are identical to electrons except they are opposites of one another. you've heard of antimatter, no?
what do you think that means?

well, it doesn't imply parallel universes, it would be 1 electron in this whole 1 universe.

squeegee (OP) triple-posted this 2 years ago, 19 minutes later, 5 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,227,772

what's cool is that positrons are identical to time reversed electrons, because of CPT symmetry, so it is true. but, that all electrons and positrons are the exact same 1 electron zigzagging back and forth in time, crossing the same moment in time infinitely many times, is kind of irrelevant since it appears identical to a universe with a great many different electrons. there's no difference. it's an interpretation, and doesn't really say anything to hold that belief. but it did factor in to the development of our understanding of a lot of things. it's just 6 in one hand half a dozen in the other.

it's just a really cool idea. that's all

It means you're susceptible to believing in patent gibberish.

positron emission tomography. what are you denying the existence of? don't be wishy-washy and not tell me what it is I believe that's gibberish. that means you're susceptible to believing you don't know anything. you're too vague to have anything to say, but you'll try to insult me?

I'm not trying to insult YOU. but you lack some of the characteristics to be taken seriously as self-righteous. so, don't think that you scored any points there dude

So, the universe is composed of more than just one electron zipping back and forth through the space-time continuum in this model?

> Why are you asking?

I don't understand how anyone (even a lay person) could take this kind of model seriously, given the presence of other sub-atomic particles.

A bot actually understands the words it reads and says, unlike a meatbag that just responds to stimuli based on neurotransmitter chemistry.
