Has there ever been a case of a judge and the defendant who has just got a raw deal meeting in the bathroom?

Ohio is bumfuck. That’s hilarious and also seems like it would be a safety concern having litigants shitting next to a judge unless these courts you go to are so minuscule you mean a single use restroom which also is dumb because you’d have people waiting in line to go

Judge, defendant, public defender, DA, all wait in line to use the same single toilet

In criminal proceedings, the defendants are often under lock and key and aren't just roaming the halls unsupervised.

Well, yeah, if they're bonded out they're not, but presumably they aren't a huge threat if they are.

You don’t even need to be out on bond to be a defendant in a criminal case — and bond isn’t really a safety thing it’s a money making thing
