Topic: what are the essentials you would put in your new home?

I'm going to have a new home soon, totally bare. As in concrete floors and everything. Help me decorate and fill this place up with cool shit.
Things I have decided I will get:
- Ceiling beam (if its not it) for a swing or hammock.
- One living room wall is gonna be purple-ish.
- The carpet will be think and most likely darkish blue.
I will have 2-3 bedrooms to decorate too. Once I get floor plans I shall need someone with 3d skills to make me a mock up of the home as to play about with furniture.

* Something for the floor, a carpet or wood thing.
* White goods (Fridge, freezer, washing machine, oven etc)
* Things to hang on the wall
* Sofa and maybe chairs depending on size
* decent size TV hung off the wall
* Coffee table
Are people going to be inside the bedrooms or are they just spare rooms for you to do whatever with? Also I think IKEA has a 3D thing that you can do something like that with.

A badass entertainment setup with a torrent slave pc, gaming system and a decent sound system... if you're into that stuff design your living room around whatever system you can afford.

I got all that on a list, and I'm below 2K, and I don't go for cheap shit. Only energy efficient shit. My electricity bills used to be too big.

Also done! I have a nice old dell laptop what has HDMI in the docking station, low power consumtion, hardware decoding of most codecs. Should do fine. Remove controlled via bluetooth remote or on my phone over wireless.

They don't do anything in Holland, and from I heard from my mates here, they suck ass. The best British ISP is bethere.co.uk -- had them in my old place, leeched over 200GB a month with my housemates, and never got a single complaint. Most other ISPs here shape/limit/DPI the shit out of you.
