If you want my actual thoughts, it's that Trump's underlying conduct here is obviously scandalous and unacceptable, but I'm not sure the Manhattan D.A. has a particularly strong case here looking at the statutes. That's why you have people ranting about secret Biden payments or whatever. They can't talk about the actual facts of the case because they're bad for Trump. It is hard to say you are the only party fighting for family values or protecting traditional marriage or whatever fatuous garbage and then say "Actually, Trump cheating on his 3rd wife with a porn star, ordering his lawyer to pay her hush money during an election year, and then falsifying business records to reimburse his attorney for the expense is fine." Everything the Republicans and their stooges in conservative media here are doing is transparent deflection, whataboutism, etc. You are just not interested in seeing things that way.
