One of Meta's family members contacted us letting us know Meta passed away last night during a coronary bypass surgery.
Meta will be survived by his sisters, mother, and partner Jamal. He may also be survived by his father, however he abandoned the family when Meta was young, so his status is currently unknown.
Meta played a big role in many of our lives and will be missed. While his later years were marred by chronic illness due to complications of AIDS, we as a community found no difficulty in looking past his short temper, persistent irrationality, frequent pettiness, and childishness.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider making a donation to the Houston AIDS society, or the 2024 Donald Trump Re-election campaign.
