oh, I remember the sewer oil. did you know a few years later that was all exposed as a hoax? they were paying people for footage. and you can now a days run the video and have ai translate and detect local dialect and the output is more accurate. Chinese people have a funny kind of wit. the were agreeing they were scooping the oil for money by selling it, but literally they were saying "yes, because you pay us to," or something like that, not yes because we are paid to, its subtle in Chinese, but the form of you they were using was the same form they use to yell at street dogs. it's extremely rude, and they were smiling just to be sayin it AND getting paid. they probably still tell jokes about it to their friends. that's why they didn't give a shit. and they sell that oil to burn. its just in the street so they can separate out the solids. so they got paid, paid again, AND got to call foreign news people, grease dogs for money.
