You don't care when innocent people are murdered? Have you been to a therapist lately?

it's a meme news story that we get to hear about every other fuckin month.
i don't care about three people dying.
i care that millions of people are being shown this story while other more relevant stories barely see the light of day.
like the state doing a "controlled burn" of thousands of gallons of vinyl chloride near two major population centres, among many other stories we never hear about because it doesn't fit the correct political narrative.

You want all kids to live under an oppressive police state run by violent jackboot thugs who know no one can fight back, conservatives want liberty.
No system is perfect, and some people will abuse their right to bear arms. The price is small compared to what we avoid.

Pick one example and stick to it.

Is there a country that has a higher percentage of whites? No shit they don't have a gun problem.
Just look at the white population of the US and the gun crime rate is similar.

Cultural problems. Having the news obsess over it and glorify it probably plays a significant role. This is the same nation where things like a major environmental disaster get virtually no coverage for 10+ days in place of a story about 3 people dying.
What do you think?

Cops should NOT carry guns. They do not in most civilized countries, even in China.

So when criminals get violent, should we ask them nicely to stop?

How do all other nations do it? You tell me that first.
Anonymous G replied with this 3 years ago , 3 minutes later, 20 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,221,189 @previous (A)
Most nations don't have the extreme inequality and corruption the US does, so these aren't big problems to begin with.
The only way the US could get worse is if the proles are disarmed, it would exacerbate every material issue they have.
First you need to solve the root social issues, and once that is done there will be more trust to get rid of arms.
