Buy me an iPhone and the $100 (give or take) apple requires you to pay to become a certified developer and be able to put stuff on the app store, then I'll consider it.

Oh, also a macbook or w/e because the SDK only works on macs.

If it could somehow enable image posting from an iPod/iPhone then I'm all for it. But otherwise I don't think it could do much that the web browser can't.

Sounds good to me. Does Minichan have any certified developers already? I'm pretty sure there's no fee to add an additional app for existing developers.

Not really. They have their own butchered version of C, objective-C and I haven't really been able to find any good starter books/guides/whatever on it (Granted I didn't really bother much either)

That's what I'm talking about about the battery drain, it for example connecting to minichan every 5-10 minutes (or whatever you like) and then giving an alert if there is a new message.

But surely that would use less battery than if you kept on loading up a browser to check to see if someone replied to you every 2 minutes.

If you do that every 2 minutes 24/7 you have a serious problem. These kind of apps generally run 24/7 (With maybe turning them self off overnight or at least going into quiet mode as to not wake the user up) so that's where the drain is.

Maybe not, we will see what they say. I'm all for push notifications on the extensions and shit. It will also be less of a strain on the resources than the current pulling system.

If you're rooted you can also install any of the 3rd party fixed for image uploading (Which is also an issue)
