My theory is that men are transitioning to appear feminine not so much because they "feel like a woman trapped in a man's body" or whatever, but rather because they've been psyched by our totalitarian gynocentric society into hating their lives as men.
Just look at the contrast between male and female lives today: men are beggars and slaves while women are queens and goddesses, so its no surprise that men today see their masculinity and manhood as a curse. They envy womanhood and view it as holy, moral and divine way of being, so naturally they want to transition to gain access to female privileges.

I think part of the appeal of Chris-chan, conscious or not, is that he has functioned as a crude satire of many social issues for years. Not only today, but going back to the classic era and beyond.
