The cars you've posted at length about here have been Toyotas. Do you have good experiences with this brand? Tell us about it. Thanks.

I find them to be economical, reasonably priced, super durable, and mechanically dependable. They are also fun to drive. Thanks.

Some of them can go for over 500k miles.

What I don't understand though is what's the point of the Prius these days? The hybrid Corolla seems to check all the same boxes while also being cheaper.

The Prius is the only pure hybrid they make. There is a difference in the two technologies.

Next time you shop Toyota, consider a Corolla (hybrid or not). It's the most commonly sold car model of all time for a reason. Thanks.

My Prius Eco gets the best mileage of any Toyota car that is not fully electric. My next purchase will be a top of the line 4 Runner actually.

So you're looking to get a less fuel efficient car in the future?

Anonymous A (OP) replied with this 3 years ago, 2 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #1,218,128

@1,218,125 (B)
It's barely any different than the Corolla hybrid's mileage. But I suspect even a non-hybrid Corolla may be better for the environment, long term, than a Prius. Less shit to break means it will last far longer than a hybrid.

What do you need a 4Runner for? I feel like that's another weird (useless) intermediate like the Prius. Why not just get a Tacoma?

@previous (A)
I regularly get 60-70 mpg. Regularly.

I do not want a pickup truck. I want an off-road vehicle that I can fit camping gear and people in.
