I'm not sure if any real studies have been done and I'm far too lazy and uninterested to look it up, but conventional wisdom says that children born to parents who are closely related are more likely to have genetic defects, so to help prevent this, incest in general has become taboo. I know genetic diversity is helpful for a species' longevity but I'm not sure how much that still applies to humans with our many means of artificially keeping people alive who wouldn't survive in nature. I'm not into it personally, but I think consenting adults should be allowed to do whatever they want with each other without ridicule, so long as they take proper precautions to not have children. If you and your sister want to fuck, go for it. Just don't knock her up.
