This post actually isn't a joke- Bert is the political debate equivalent of an anime character who can move so quickly, that he appears he's standing completely still. His thoughts are so deep, so beyond that of the average person, that they seem shallow and ill-informed.
...But that couldn't be further from the truth. Bert is so intelligent that he sees zero need for any kind of intellectual frills. He cuts straight to the point, and leaves it at that. His ideas may seem simplistic, but his every post is the end product of an extremely deep understanding of political theory and current events. It just so happens that he's of the opinion that far-right American conservatives are correct.
