But was too pussy to say hi. We haven't spoken in over a decade, and we had a nasty falling out that was entirely my fault. I've felt bad about it for years. Should I go back and talk to him?

He works at the information desk. It seems his job is to sit there and wait for people to come ask him for help. I won't be hindering his job by talking to him for two minutes.
I went back to see if he was still there, but he was already gone for the day. I asked another employee if he was there and she told me when he works (I didn't ask) so now at least I know when I can find him there.
