People unironically showed up with signs saying "clemency for amber".If she hadn't been executed, she would have been kept in a woman's prison for the rest of her life. There are recent cases of shemales impregnating other inmates in women's prisons.
If the person holding up that sign got what they wanted, it's likely other women would have been raped and possibly killed while under the "care" of the state.
