My brother had one and that shit was sick as fuck. Too bad the engine blew on him. I never even realized this until he told me this past year he had a short shifter in there. This guy would go in pitch black narrow roads in the mountains and drift with me in the car. I was scared for life, but I trusted him. All I can say is that, MR2... Fuck yeah. Even my mom wanted one. Lol.

Its easy making the exhaust catch fire, you just cut spark momentarily. The trick is getting your exhaust to stay lit even while revving.
Also, a Miata wouldn't handle an LS1, let alone an LS3. It isn't about dropping in a big engine and having fun, The body would twist like a Chinese gymnast. You have to upgrade your shocks, springs, control arms, subframe, rear end, brakes, rack, tie rods, knuckles, exhaust, the list goes on and on. You are looking at dumping nearly 30 grand in new parts, just to get your miata in the same league as a modern V8. There is a reason V8 cars are so big and heavy, and japanese cars are small and light, its all structural.

Autos are supposed to shift on their own, treating it like a manual is abusing it, and at some point it will fail and you will have no one to blame but yourself. If you want to shift gears, buy something with a semi-auto transmission, or just buy one with a stick.

I recently replaced my valve body with a rebuilt one so now I don't have that hard shifting problem and drops when I drive. This car is already on it's 2nd engine too since the first blew up. My aunt isn't one to treat a car badly either.
