I'm not going there for pain medication/management, I am going for a cleaning and x-rays because I visibly have some teeth that are fucked up, they just need to know the extent. I'll probably end up getting a few extractions/fillings/root canals this next year.

Yeah, but I'm switching to a different one, I'm gonna see if the new insurance covers implants vs root canals if it comes to it

Some of the big insurance companies (blue cross, humana) don't cover implants because they're considered cosmetic. My dad had to get an implant out of pocket and I think it was something like 3-5k 15 years ago.
