Topic: AnonTalk BBS is now completely dead and will never return

In a world full of cancer, gross incompetence, literal criminals and thieves in charge of every aspect of the Internet, and almost nothing but lying fucktards and cowardly sheep using it, nothing as beautiful as AT can survive. It's like trying to grow a flower in nuclear waste; it's not just an uphill battle but a perfectly vertical artificial wall that simply cannot be climbed.
AT never stood a chance in the first place and I now wouldn't bring it back even if I could, which I genuinely tried to, as promised. Alas, virtually nobody is interested in changing the world for the better, and if you are out there, you're hiding very well.
The true story of AT may be told one day by me, the only person who actually knows it. Until then, enjoy your cancer. I'll have absolutely no part in it.

Let's take that one step further and make it an ETERNITY of high-quality topics.

I might be committing political suicide by saying this...
One day of high quality topics couldn't hurt, but I think it would be more fitting to post all-caps rants all day. That's what Kimmo was really all about.

It's the photoshopping of a sexual organ to imply oral intercourse with a child. It's simulated child pornography, which isn't illegal in the USA, but is still against the rules.

I had my back against the wall. @192,790 (SQUARED :3 !L.....AlN.)
I was underweight back then. The doctors had me switch off my then-current medication and onto a different one that caused a rather sharp increase in appetite.
Why? It's not like you can't have quality discussions here. The only thing (besides Kimmo) that I found entertaining about AnonTalk was trying to determine if the posters there were trolls or genuine crackpots.

Yeah I miss topics like: > I saw a loli today :3 > Vicky looks like she was enjoying herself > Any good tips on loli watching?

Those type of people are fun until you have to deal with them in real life. Then it's
all "I had a minor fight with my boyfriend, I'm now going to shoot myself in the face!"

I hope so. If he wrote a book, I'd certainly read it. It'd probably be the funniest thing I've read in a long while.

Lol, me too. Oh wow, what a smart idea. He really should write a novel!

What people would do in an environment where anonymity was guaranteed and almost anything tolerated.
What kind of people it would attract.
Whether it could survive.
What kind of backlash it would attract.
etc. etc.

Just a small subset of the 4chan community. But it was interesting to see the type of people who stuck around (anyone willing to be verbally abused), and how this entire offspring community was formed around it all. And I don't agree that pedophilia was so common just because 'anything was tolerated'; he had the site slanted towards pedophilia from the beginning. > almost anything tolerated.
4chan's a better example of that. > What kind of backlash it would attract.
The backlash was 100% because of Kimmo. It definitely wasn't the content (even the pedo stuff) because other pedo sites go mostly unnoticed.

Few here have a clue how popular 4Chan really is. Based on total net traffic its one of the most often viewed and used web sites around. Comparisons too Google put 4Chan in the top 1200 or often even top 600

in my experience it was a lot more liberal than 4chan
I am an example of someone who found AT without knowing 4chan.
There was a lot less genuine pedo topics than you'd think. I'd say at least two thirds of it was trolling.

I agree with you about the reason for the Kimmo backlash. He created so many enemies by being incredible controlling that people were unwilling or unable to look past the pedo topics.
