Can we actually though? What will it take? Are we too complacent? Do we have it too good with our meaningless distractions to ever hope of taking what is rightfully ours? Too many streaming services, too many video games, too much social media, too much junk food...? Seriously, what has to happen for the proles to rise up and fight back?
> Seriously, what has to happen for the proles to rise up and fight back?
Proles will only fight when their puppet rebel leaders induce them too, and that will only happen when it's a useful way to criminalize and arrest people en mass.

I am very frustrated about work because the lady whose job i am taking over is heavily resisting the process despite claiming she wants me to take over her job so she can do sales

Reminds me of that bruce lee quote "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."
Now replace kicks with drawings and 10,000 drawings of a cat.

I am inebriated right now, but I'd just like to say: I am truly grateful for the time I've spent on this website. I would not be the person that I am today, had I not spend my formative years hanging around here.
Many of you are quite weird people, but for the most part, I'm glad I met you. <3

Ahhh, there is nothing like a nice morning shower when you're slightly hungover. It's almost as nice as knowing that you definitely didn't make any embarrassing posts last night.

Maybe you could. Most of time now I have started trying to just drink at night.
I still drink my favorite exclusively...but I never toss back more an one pint a day except for special occasions.

You are not needed on this earth, let alone this board. Your participation serves no purpose except to reduce the enjoyment of others.

Ok, I'm permanently leaving this board. I took a break, thought I could come back and have fun, but my mental health is really bad, I'm depressed enough as it is already and nearly had a mental breakdown and I do not need negativity like this at the moment. My tripcode is #AuTiStIc. Bye.

i love working on indie projects because the trade off for more responsibilities isn't even higher pay. it's just more responsibilities, and the "higher pay" is being in the pool of people selected from when it comes time to make some more capital-O Official stuff. which could pay, but not a lot. but that time for new Official stuff is not ever going to come, because the big man himself called a time out, just to keep it real. and evidently, without the big man on the court, there is no game to be played. or whatever. the metaphor kind of got away from me

🫲 -just doing a little house breaking. gotta new kitty cat. filthy stray. haven't decided if it needs to get, snippy, snippy.
as long as it doesn't piss all over everything, or, like, bother me, then I won't waste the 15 minutes.
it's not allowed in the house anyway. not in MY house.

i adopted a bunch of strays that were living on the property when i moved in. it's a good idea to get it snipped, collared and chipped if you intend on living with it. feral cats love to run off, and having those kinds of clear signs of ownership can be the difference between life and death sometimes
A: It's not often we get grammar questions about animals—it's even less often that we get one with two different answers. But that's what we have here.
An animal is referred as “it” unless the relationship is personal (like a pet that has a name). Then it’s OK to use “he” or “she" when referring to the animal. This also applies to using “who” and “whom." If the animal has a personal relationship with the person, then use "who" or "whom." Otherwise you must exclusively use “which” or “that.” Here's an example that incorporates both of these rules:
Personal: My horse, whom I call Steve, is my best friend. He comforts me when I ride him.
Generic: The stray dog, which I saw chasing its own tail, was shedding hair.
The "personal" rule also holds true if you're writing a kids book and the animals can talk—as you’re giving them human traits and making them characters your readers can get to know. Even if the animals don't have specific names, they are given personalities and this is enough to make them personal.
Matt definitely doesn't have a personality and I don't have a personal relationship with him, and human traits are questionable so I went with the generic form I'd use for a stray.

if it were a real cat and not an insulting analogy for interacting with a shitposter i assume to be Matt I'd actually care for it. animals deserve to looked after properly. good on you

Having tried one last time to seriously contact this "moot" (in a very friendly fashion) about a mutual linkage deal to stop the spam/attack problems on both boards, getting only very short, negative responses, I will not try this ever again unless he contacts me. (I said that I was prepared to remove the banned phrases and add a permanent text or graphical ad for 4chan in return for a text or image ad "over there", and that this most likely will eliminate lots of problems for both.)

This is one of the funniest footnotes in Anontalk history. Fucking Kimmo tries to blackmail moot into advertising for him, and then gets incredulous when it doesn't work. All while telling hilariously weak lies about how he had nothing to do with the spam on 4chan.
He was such a character. A perfect comedic villain for those earlier, wild west days of the Internet. We'll never see his like again.
He will never return to do anything great for humanity/the Internet ever again. This could truly have been the most wonderful thing to have happened to the Internet since its inception, but instead of the huge success it deserved to be, you actively destroyed it.

I recently purchased some Roman coins from an antique fair! I spent some of my evening examining them, trying to identify which Emperors they show and what the inscriptions say. I got some absolute gems: a coin of Galerius (one of the last pagan Emperors before Christianity really took off, enthusiastically persecuted them but eventually stopped), a coin of Constantine the Great (the first Christian Emperor), and a coin of Philip II, which was quite heavily worn but somehow the dealer had identified it, and my own research confirmed this identification as accurate.
I know it sounds sad, but I have a blast! I'm not just holding a piece of history, but also a tiny piece of Roman PR, which can be dissected to find all kinds of interesting meanings
> I'm not just holding a piece of history, but also a tiny piece of Roman PR, which can be dissected to find all kinds of interesting meanings
That's true of literally everything. Every molecule and atom of everything and anything has a history tracing back to the beginning of time at least.
And anyway, how do you know these aren't counterfeit? This all sounds like the perfect trap for the arm-chair weekend historian.

Hahaha, are you the anon who tried to convince me that I'd get in trouble if I bought coins in Italy, and then tried to take them home to the UK?
I actually quite like you, you've got a sense of humour. You're not as boring as some anonymous trolls. I appreciate what you do here!
