That resident was pretty interesting. He was homeless because he loved being a bum and he would tell me that very frequently
His ex wife became the leader of a yoga cult in New Mexico
He actually would frequently let cults pick him up when he lived in California because they would feed you and usually had vegan options. He would go with the Hari Krishnas a lot and also multiple times with the Heavens Gate people
His diet was macro biotic nd they don't eat any nightshade plant (tomato, potato, some peppers) and no spices or fruit from the tropics
They eat a lot of sea vegetables and fermented food like saurkraut. He once had me try saurkraut juice and it was horrible
