When I try to be dark and twisted, I am only trying to soothe myself. I don't know what I will do when my teeth inevitably fail me one by one, but there will be a lot of pain. So i am thinking, that I ought to be more comfortable with pain.

But Anonymous A, how can one twist darkness? It is simply the absence of the presence of light. How twisted, How Dark, these are questions that cannot be answered in the absence of light.
One twists darkness when darkness is all there is to twist. In the absence of light, man just carries on as usual, my dear anon b. He makes furniture, profits, food and joy out of what he can. Such is the nature of man.
