real leather is more sustainable and a better material. there's no good reason to buy into fake leather it's a scam that preys on your sensibilities and feeds you an inferior product
Green !StaYqkzUPc replied with this 3 years ago , 6 hours later, 15 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,210,237 @previous (horny wolfman )
It's not sustainability I'm worried about, I don't want an animal to die for my clothing. I'd by a hypocrite if I was a vegetarian who wore leather.

Cows get slaughtered regardless. Wouldn't the ethical thing be to use every part of them? 🤔

For non-vegans/non-vegetarians yes, but OP made a thread criticising vegan leather not taking into account some people don't want to wear animal products.

probably? but instead there are warehouses full of the "low grade" leather that nobody wants because a marketing scheme made it seem unappealing. surprisingly it hasn't been thrown out yet, which means that some businesspersons out there believe there will eventually be a market for their warehouses full of old leather 🙂

If they don't want to wear animal products they can wear cotton or polyester or some shit.
Artificial leather is garbage. It's like the particle board of the apparel world.

I mean, I have a pair of jeans with a faux leather layer. They're great, and I love them, but making an entire article of clothing out of the faux leather shit? Nah.

No, but I've had south African biltong. Sweet caramelized onion was divine and was why I failed being vegetarian in 2019 the first time lol
