Who the fuck actually wants a big house? It's too difficult to clean and all of the material goods in the world is never going to bring you happiness.
If you narrow down what means the most to you and get your basic needs taken care of. Van life isn't that bad. Easy to power, you can always have a bathroom with a shower, you can always find places to park it, and you can feel like you're in a cozy cottage in the woods. Especially if you get a network extender for it. It's actually a much preferable option than just huge house living where all you ever do is accommulate more worthless shit you can't take with you when you die.

It's not always easy to find a bathroom with a shower
