I personally think reincarnation is BS but it's apparently real in a lot of people's worlds (and not just trans stuff - I know a couple of ladies who are obsessed with the concept).
Given that - as far as I know - there's no consensus scientific opinion on what exactly causes gender dysphoria, ascribing it to past sins is just as good or bad as anything else since the real answer is "dunno lol".
