It seems like Minichan and Tinychan are the only two illegal clones left now on the entire internet. There is no third alternative to the main two and that kind of makes me sad. It seems like content was better when there was a third place for a lot of the regular shtick posters to go. What was the final fate of peepeepoopoochan? Remember GHOUL? How about Scatchan or Punychan?
It is honestly kind of boring when there only exist two stars in the chanosphere. I kind of wish there were a third one.

I would honestly love to see this become a reality and it sounds like a very nice tribute to a man who had potential but couldn't let go of the drugs which lead to his demise.

I intend to keep Minichan around for as long as I'm alive, pretty much.
I have no idea about Tinychan.
It isn't helped by the fact TinyBBS is written to use ancient versions of PHP/MySQL, and isn't easy to install. It's a challenge to establish a new clone. I've never tried installing MiniBBS, but I imagine it's a similar situation; it looks unmaintained (last commit was 11 years ago https://github.com/Dalloway/MiniBBS, and https://minibbs.org doesn't even load).
Too many people have left, we were always a small community and now we're even smaller. A third clone would spread us incredibly thin (assuming posters gravitate towards one board in particular, which they tend to).
