Topic: The fools who waste their votes on Election Day.

The same fools who cannot see that there is no such thing as "the left" and that both sides of the American political alignment are right. American liberals are just as much right as those who call themselves conservatives. It's an illusion to make the people turn against one another instead of fixing the social and economic problems that come with being a citizen of the United States or United Kingdom as I'm sure the same bullshit goes on there. Non-voters are not the problem, but it is better to waste your vote on a third party than the main two as if enough people wasted their votes that way then perhaps actual change may come about from it.

It's true that both parties suck and are both mostly right wing by the standards of most other countries, you should still vote for the lesser of two evils. Voting third party is wasting your vote. In a perfect world that wouldn't be the case, but right now it is. Not voting for the less bad option because both options are bad is stupid. It's the same stupid thought process of people who said masks and vaccines don't stop 100% of covid transmission, so there's no point in doing either.

That idea is the reason we’re in this loop. If enough people wasted their votes on third party that would have an effect on the polling system. Third party votes are still a part of the electoral. More people should waste their votes as this takes away from the main two and gives more votes for the third parties. But you’re clearly a retarded shill for one of the two parties so your input matters zero.

I agree that's what got us here. I also agree that if enough people voted third party we could see real change. But the reality is that right now that isn't realistic. And this is the situation we find ourselves in. It sucks but that is the cold reality; voting third party is as good as not voting at all. I understand the desire to stick to your principles and vote how you think is best, but the stakes are too high right now. In another time when things are good and the race is one mostly harmless asshole versus another mostly harmless asshole, then yeah, stick to your guns and vote third party. But when one of the two major parties is actually authoritarian, detests fair elections, and actively attempts to remove peoples' rights, the future of your country depends on keeping that party out of power. And voting third party doesn't do a damn thing there.
