How delusional someone is? Like you know their bonkers and yet you end up taking them seriously and then they go off the deep end and remind you?
Example:5-7 minute conversation starts with talking about protests in Iran and ends by being told no one voted for Joe Biden in the last election.

I feel like I'm almost gaslighting him but I just have to remember not to say anything that boils down to politics at all. It always takes a hard turn even when it's something super innocuous or local even

This happened to me the other night with a lad I met at an event.
He opened with some strange obsession with superhero movies, which is a red flag looking back.
Next he's telling me he's actually a lass, and that America needs to abandon the capitalist foundation that led it to the top of the world.
I nodded a lot to be polite, because how do you respond to any of that? Then the conversation became a weird diatribe about the definitions of pedophilia and I forced an exit before someone could overhear and associate me with any of that.
That worked for 10 minutes, but he doubled around and found me again. Chat was a little more mellow at this point, but if I understood some of the personal details being shared it sounds like he smokes large amounts of weed and huffs gasoline fumes on a daily basis.

@previous (F)
I'm not talking about a random you meet at an event, I meant people you interact with regularly and already know how crazy they are, but forget the particular flavor of their crazy.
