What do? Can I take my phone from the US and buy a sim card in Argentina? Or do I need to buy a calling card or something? I'm going to be using skype from my laptop, but I'd like to have a phone to contact my children just in case. Any suggestions?(Edited 24 seconds later.)

Anyways, if your phone is unlocked... all you have to do is buy a prepaid sim card and you're good to go. ^.^
If not, buy one of those cheap prepaid cellphones.
