I can't decide which game I want.
Fallout 3 comes with a lot of DLC for like $10 extra, which is an awesome deal, but New Vegas is also pretty tempting since it's newer, and the base price of the game is the same as FO3 without DLC, but the DLC alone for New Vegas costs $30.

As a stand-alone game, I'd reccomend Vegas over Falllout 3, personally. As for DLC, I haven't played the Vegas DLC, but but Fallout 3 is stronger with DLC, since it has more of it and Broken Steel is espcecially good. And as you said, Fallout DLC is far cheaper.

I meant platform, but yeah that works.
The sheer amount of user-created mods you can get for both games makes official DLC less essential for giving the game more play time, so I wouldn't worry about DLC as much.
