It was a huge meme on 4chan for a while. The central thesis of the film is that black male slaves were anally raped by white male slave owners to break them ("buck breaking" ie they break the buck's spirit). I'm sure this did happen at least once (I mean statistically speaking some of the many thousands of slave owners had to be gay) but I can't imagine it was common as most men find gay sex repulsive regardless of the power dynamics.
The Sally Hemings/Thomas Jefferson thing probably was pretty common though.
