I figure that why this place has existed as long as it has. Every time I have actual friends I drop off of here, not even intentionally, I just post less and less and then one day I realise I haven't been back in a while. When I move, or have friends get married or I have a breakup and get lonely then I remember and pop back by and sure enough I see familiar posters. I've been so many different namefags through the years I forget which ones till i look through my "memory book" of screenshots. And then I'll remember and have a laugh, and it's a huge folder now. Thousands of memories a year, just funny stuff, important stuff. Mean stuff. Like a digital cyber family. Even deaths, and marriages, lots of fun times, lots of hard times. i could spend hours and hours reading caps and seeing images, it makes me laugh. Some times cry. Sometimes mad. And then I'll hear how quiet it is, and late, and tired I am and my eyes burn. I'll blink them hard and make them focus, and hold my breath and sit there in the dark until the burning in my lungs turns to panic and the jolt makes me pant for a few seconds and I'll rub my knuckles on my eyes and wipe away the moisture. And then I remember how long it's been since I spent time with anyone back in person. Days drop away, weeks get lost, months are taken and sometimes years go by. But don't go reconnecting, not really, it feels like wearing a costume on Halloween, you pretend to be who you were, where you were with people that look like family and friends, but they're in old costumes too. People you loved are now people you're not comfortable with and they're not comfortable with you, and everyone is too nice. Like people are when guests visit. "Entertaining," and then someone stands up and says, "well, it's getting late..." And it is. But it didn't used to. They'll walk you out, unlike they used to. No one says, "see you later," it's, "let's do it again sometime," and there's that quiet moment before someone says, "yep, that'd be great," and the briefest eye contact says what everyone knows but doesn't say, it won't be great. It'll be a long time from now if ever, but we had good times when we knew each other. And everyone is thinking, "I hope they don't make me regret this." They go inside and you see the house grow active again, like it had been holding it's breath, and finally it can relax after you leave there. "Well, that was nice... yeah, it was..." It was work though. Like Thanksgiving, or any holiday with something to do. Everyone know it'll end and they can finally relax when it's over. Or just be glad that it's over. The fondness dies for people before they do, someone is gone for a reason, or won't be missed because they liked you. And they don't know you. And won't want to anymore. You're just eager to get home and put the day behind you. "let's do it again some time... I'll call you." But don't hold your breath.

Thinking about minichan makes them lonely, visiting minichan reminds them why they left, and they'd rather be lonely

I feel similarly. I tend to spend more time here when I'm depressed/not feeling well. During the better times I find myself online a lot less in general.

I found this web site to see if it could fix me. It's 6 dimensions of wellness. I noticed, for myself, that I need to visit or revisit these dimensions

I'm incredibly lonely, that's why I've become obsessed with an obscure Internet forum that reminds me of the one that tried to groom me when I was 12.

Sometimes, but I'm doing it to myself so it's hard to change, and It also helps me appreciate the friends I do have.
