It depends on the company and the boss. Usually it is ok unless it keeps happening. Then they will fire you.

Funny enough I was a few minutes (seven minutes if I remember right) late for work a week ago. Because my ass is always in the chair at 8:00:00 no one gave me a hard time about it. I work for an Anglo company. Are Anglos and the Chinese really so different? 🤔
